A chopping board that does the holding, so one hand can do the cooking. The Kitchen Workstation is a tough 500 x 300 mm board with the tools built in: stainless spikes to hold a vegetable while you peel or chop it, a clamp that opens to 110 mm and grips a tin, jar or bowl, a raised corner that pins bread while you spread it, and a grater and slicer that collect what they cut. Suction feet stop the board sliding; the whole thing goes in the dishwasher.
Who it's for
Anyone cooking with the use of one hand: after a stroke, with an arm in plaster, with arthritis or a weak grip, or with a limb difference. Occupational therapists prescribe it for kitchen independence, and it is a common NDIS purchase.
