Neoprene & Splinting Fabrics

Totalprene is neoprene sheet with a nylon face on both sides, sold by the 1.2 m x 2 m sheet. Cut it, sew it, glue it: it is the material behind custom wrist supports, thumb wraps, knee sleeves, positioning pads and splint linings. Black on both faces, in 1, 2 or 3 mm.

Who it's for

Orthotists, hand therapists and workshops making their own soft supports; upholsterers and makers who want wetsuit-grade neoprene by the sheet.

Choosing a thickness

• 1 mm: thin, flexible; liners, light wraps and gloves.
• 2 mm: the all-rounder for wrist and thumb supports.
• 3 mm: knee and elbow sleeves, padding, anything that needs body.

Sheet size and ordering

Each sheet is 1.2 m wide by 2 m long. Order more than one and we supply a continuous roll for better yield. Sheets ship separately from small parcels; freight is quoted at checkout.

Neoloop is neoprene strap with loop fabric on one face and nylon on the other, so hook tape grips it anywhere along its length. Cut it to size, wrap it round a limb, a device or a handle, and press on hook. Because the neoprene has body, it makes stiffer, more padded straps than plain loop tape: the strap for custom positioning splints, padded handles and any support that needs a wide, soft closure.

Choosing a strap

• 1 mm: flexible; small splints and light straps.
• 2 mm: the usual choice for wrist and hand splints.
• 3 mm: firm and well padded; positioning devices and larger limbs.
• 25 mm wide for fingers, thumbs and small hands; 50 mm for wrists, forearms and legs.

Neoprene Traditional Material Nylon on Medical Plush Lining

TOTALPRENE offers creative options in your choice of neoprene based fabrics.

This is the traditional range with a nylon fabric laminated over the neoprene layer with medical plush liner, for added ventilation/wicking action and is available in various thicknesses and colour combinations.

The material illustrated shows the red medical plush lining. We stock the black lining as it tends to be the colour of choice for the lining. Other colours are available on request

The Medical Plush Lining allows the material to breath and assists in providing a heat level that is comfortable with less perspiration than the traditional sheet material.

This wrist brace has high quality velcro fastenings for adjustability and compression purposes, and a single aluminium stay for wrist support. Made of breathable material for maximum comfort.

Ideal for the treatment or rehab of wrist sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis.

Universal size so this product will suit almost any patient. Left and right available.

Powernet Lycra - Pressure Garment Fabric 4 Way Stretch

Powernet, features conforming stretch with excellent breathability.

PowerNet Secur®Dri is an advanced stretch technical fabric. It is made from micro-denier nylon that pulls sweat away from the body and transports it to the surface of the garment, where it evaporates and leaves the skin cool and dry. Garments made of this fabric have greater support and comfortable fit.

PowerNet SecurDri is prescribed for use over healed skin and for areas where additional support and compression is required. This fabric is particularly durable in work, school or outdoor activities.

PowerNet Secur Dri. is often used in burns scar management and lymphoedema.

This fabric breathes well and has a long life expectancy.

The SPN fabric is used to assist posture and positioning - tonal management and joint stability. The fabric contours well to the body surface and are shown to be patient compliant. The Powernet is ideal for the therapist who wishes to make their own customised garments for their clients either as an interim garment of longer-term use.

Neoloop Whole Sheets with Loop fabric (Neoprene)

Traditional nylon-faced neoprene with one-sided loop fabric, so hook fasteners grip anywhere on the sheet. Available in Black/Black.

Sheet size: 1.25 m wide x 1.5 m long. If more than one length is purchased we supply a continuous roll for better yield.

Additional freight may apply to whole sheets. The 4 mm sheet is an indent line: if it is out of stock, allow about 10 weeks.

Alternative: the same neoprene cut into Neoloop straps for attaching hook fasteners.
