SECURFORM THERMOPLASTIC SHEETS

  Can be used for almost any splinting application. Use for adult and paediatric positioning, dynamic and static splinting, and for post-burn and post-surgical care. You can tailor splint this thermoplastic into your preferred splint pattern.

Resistance to Stretch

 Minimum to moderate resistance to stretch allows the splinter to control the material throughout the splinting process. Securform tolerates minimum to moderate handling during splint molding. Handle on a horizontal plane and form splint in a gravity-assisted position. Gentle, smooth motions yield superior results.

Drape

 Securform has moderate drape and offers conformability with only light to moderate pressure. Lightweight 2.4mm provides more drape than 3.2mm

Memory/Recovery

 With minimum to moderate memory and recovery, splints can be modified a few times without thinning. Reheated splints will not thin or shrink, making it easy to adjust for bandage or edema changes.

Rigidity

Splints made from Securform have a moderate degree of rigidity.

A circumferential splint made of Securform is flexible enough for easy donning and doffing, yet strong enough for immobilization. Splints will give slightly against strong force and will resist breaking.

Bonding

The unique powder coating gives Securform a tacky feel that helps hold the material in place, allowing the splinter to achieve contours and positioning without the material pulling or falling away. A wet bond will hold firmly but can be pulled apart once cooled. Dry heating two surfaces together will form a strong bond. For a permanent bond, use solvent or scrape-off coating, apply dry heat, and press together.

Surface Finish

Low-profile, beige colour has moderate resistance to fingerprints and resists showing stains. Smooth, self-sealing edges do not require additional finishing, resulting in a professional finish, even after reheating.

SecurFlex II is a landscape thermoplastic with minimum to moderate resistance to stretch. Incredible comfortable, ideal for small or intricate splints and circumferential arm/leg splints.

Available in 2.4mm. Sheet features 1% perforation.

Whole sheet measures 46x61cm.

SecurImmo+ Non Stick Thermoplastic Sheets

Non-sticky variation of IMMO+ removes easily after splint formation (cooling) is complete without sticking to skin, body hair or bandages.

Secur Immo + is a low-temperature micro-perforated thermoplastic material with non-sticky coating on both sides for the fabrication of custom-moulded rigid splints, orthoses, and adaptive equipment.

A non-stick surface coating resists fingerprints and doesn't stick to cotton, skin or body hair or itself. For permanent bonding, remove the surface coating and spot-heat the area with the heat gun, then press firmly together.

SecurFit Pro Thermoplastic Sheets 

Unlimited potential for lightweight conforming hand based splints

Like Orfit™ Classic SECURFIT PRO™ becomes transparent when heated (65-70°C) and super strong when cool. SECURFIT™ defies fingerprinting and cools to a beautiful smooth finish. Pro thermoplastic splinting material can be used to make a variety of orthoses, providing firm to lightweight support and is similar to Aquaplast™.and Securplast SecurFit Pro has 100% memory and turns transparent when completely heated. You will find that this product has a little bit of flex and is patient compliant.

Characteristics

MEMORY:
100% memory- easily returns to its original shape and size when reheated.

RTS: Minimal to moderate resistance to stretch. Can be used for single-surface splinting or stretched circumferentially.

DRAPE: Maximum drape. Excellent conformability and detail reproduction. Turns transparent when completely heated and retains its clarity for the first few minutes of molding, allowing visibility of landmarks and bony prominences.

RIGIDITY: Moderately rigid splints. If a more flexible splint is required, simply stretch the material to achieve the desired rigidity and thickness.

BONDING: Coating needs to be removed for permanent bonding- use dry heat.

SURFACE FINISH: Resists fingerprints for a smooth, shiny surface. To remove marks and bring out shine, dip in warm water or lightly heat the surface with dry heat.

Latex Free Skin friendly and non-irritating. Can be disposed of with normal waste and will biodegrade over time.

Choose from three thicknesses: 1.6mm, 2.4mm, or 3.2mm.

SECUREZE provides a slightly sticky surface when warm to keep material in place for an intimate fit. A permanent bond is achieved by applying dry heat and pinching it together firmly. No solvent is needed. Ideal for making strong, rigid splints for patients who are hard to position or have strong joint contractures.

Surface Finish: Resists fingerprinting. Fingerprints and other marks can be smoothed away by rubbing the surface gently while the splint is warm. Leaves sealed, smooth edges when cut warm. Latex Free: skin friendly without sensitisation and environment friendly with self-degradation.

SecurImmo+ Thermoplastic Sheets

SecurImmo+ becomes transparent when heated in a water bath and super strong when it cools to the room temperature.  The smooth finish and ease of trimming of the edges ensure high control over the molding process. Easy to work with, comfortable for the patient.

Thermoplastic adheres lightly to the patient’s skin allowing for more refined moulding of the splint.

Turbocast Roll

Roll of micro-perforated thermoplastic material, similar to Orficast. Designed for immobilisation of finger/wrist injuries. Tape-based orthoses provide quick means for precise and tight-fitting modeling. Can be applied on the intact skin, or post-operatively.
